David Mansfield

David has nearly 30 years experience in the construction and building consultancy industries in the UK and Australia.

He has been a Chartered Building Surveyor for circa 16 years and has held senior roles at leading Australian building consultancies since 2007 (SGA Property Consultancy and KPMG SGA).

David founded Mansfield Property Advisory to reconnect with his client network and to have the opportunity to work closely on client projects.  It is the intention of the company to offer the capability and expertise of a “big name” consultancy with the personal service of a small company.

In the past 14 years David has been involved with several thousand property transactions and projects across Australia and has international experience of specialist property reporting in New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Spain and the UK.

David's transaction experience includes some of the largest property acquisitions in Australian history across all property asset classes. David has extensive experience in assessing building defects, capital expenditure planning and landlord and tenant matters. 

Gerry Filgate

Gerry is the Sydney lead for Mansfield Property Advisory since joining as a Director in early 2020. He has actively been involved with the preparation of Technical Due Diligence reporting for 10 years and has been involved with almost 300 property acquisitions or disposal projects as a Director of KPMG SGA forging strong working relationships along the way.

Gerry has a background in Structural Engineering having worked with private consultants and local council which provided experience in element design for building and civil structures including retail, residential and office, make safe works to industrial and retail buildings and structural integrity reporting on industrial buildings.

Gerry also has experience in facilities management through secondments to Bunnings Warehouse Property (BWP) Trust (National Facilities Manager based in Perth WA) and Accord Pacific (Building Manager based in Sydney NSW).

Stephen Allan

Stephen was a dear friend and mentor who we sadly lost in 2021. Stephen was instrumental in the establishment of MPA and served as a non-executive director in our early years.
