Defect analysis reports are typically required when preliminary attempts at repair have failed, a dispute has developed, or simply to investigate an issue.  Our defect reports are based on our thorough understanding of the construction process, together with our experience of common workmanship shortfalls and materials deterioration. 

Effective defect analysis often requires intrusive investigation and testing.  Our fee proposal for defect analysis will set out the likely investigation process, always noting that sometimes surprises do happen and additional work could be required to find the root cause of an issue.

Our defect reports set out the steps we have taken to investigate the issue, our assessment of what is causing the problem together with remedial works options and costs.
